Week of October 28 Newsletter
This week, the students continued their Social Studies curriculum with a lot of engaging activities, even attending a field trip at The Natural History Museum. There they studied the mysteries of the fossils during the different time periods and how they compared to modern animals. They even got to hold fossilized alligator droppings!
In science, the students started a new chapter where they learned about the different characteristics of living things. One way the students learned about the different characteristics of living things was through an experiment. They combined yeast with different amounts of sugar in a water bottle and they placed a balloon over the lid. They observed their experiment, and within 20 minutes, they got their results!
As we close our first trimester next Friday, we are concluding our units in class and are being assessed on what they have learned throughout the unit. Please make sure your student is coming to class prepared and completing their homework at home!
