OVERVIEW OF THIS WEEK'S CLASS TOPIC
November 4th Newsletter
Dear Parents,
TO DO
- I will be traveling to Mexico for a wedding at the end of the week. We will have a substitute on Friday, so we'll complete weekly reflections on Thursday and I will send students home with red folders on Thursday instead of Friday this week.
- It's been fun to hear about the at-home experiments some students have been working on. A form for students to complete to share the process and findings of their experiment is available in our class filing cabinet. It was also posted last week to the Science Google Classroom. It can be found in the stream or in the "Classwork" tab.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM LAST WEEK
Symphony
We were treated to a great performance by the San Diego Symphony at Copley Hall last week!
Dia de los Muertos
The ofrenda Miss Sabrina set up in the classroom for Dia de los Muertos at the beginning of the week was moved into Chapel on Wednesday and left on display throughout the week. The students put together a beautiful display recognizing loved ones who've passed away. We had a special Chapel on Thursday, and Mary did an excellent job with a reading in Spanish. Miss Sabrina and I thank all who helped find pictures and contributed decorations for our altars.
OVERVIEW OF THIS WEEK'S CLASS TOPIC
I didn't assign any homework on Halloween, and since students weren't asked to study, I postponed the geography quiz to this Tuesday. We will begin studying our final set of states this week and will have our final state test next Tuesday 11/12.
Respectfully,
Celeste Caso
