November 11, 2019
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I spent mine with my family in Santa Cruz. My son, Michael, just completed the first half of his Physician Assistant program, and we celebrated his White Coat Ceremony. I am a proud and happy mom!
As you know, we're having an artist visit on Tuesday, Dec. 3rd. She will be guiding students through a special art activity in which they will be making a Christmas present for you. The cost to construct each item in $6. We encourage students, especially in the upper grades, to do chores around the house to earn an allowance so they can proudly purchase and create this present for you from money earned. To participate, students can bring in a $6 payment bu Nov. 22nd, or if money is already earned and saved, they are welcome to hand it to me anytime this week as well. Students with two households who would like to make an item for each house are welcome to do so but would need to bring $12 to cover the cost for both.
Conferences are all set for next Wednesday, November 20th. Please know that conferences are 20 minutes long and are held back-to-back with other parent’s appointments, so we must begin and end on time. If during our conference, we feel the need for more time, we will schedule another meeting then. I look forward to meeting with all of you and discussing your child’s progress in third grade. Please see the updated conference schedule below.
This Thursday families are invited to join us at lunch for a Family Picnic on the lawn from 12-12:25. Bring your lunch and a blanket, then enjoy lunch with your child(ren).
This Friday is Crazy Hair Day. Students may come to school in free dress with crazy hair! Remember it's a PE day, so sneakers are a must.
Next Friday at 2:20 PM in the church we will celebrate our Grandparent’s and Grand-friends. We will have a special presentation for them, and I hope you'll be able to come!
Have a wonderful week!
