March 2 Newsletter
I hope you all enjoyed Winter Break last week and got back into the swings of things pretty easily. Just a reminder, Monday started the third trimester of the school year. Report cards for the second trimester will be sent home on March 20.
In the last newsletter, you received information regarding our Lenten Drive. The students will kick off their Sixth Grade Service Project next Monday at the assembly via video. For the time of Lent, the sixth graders will help and inspire the school and community to bring in new socks and toiletry items to assist the 300+ participants at St. Paul’s PACE Program in Chula Vista. The students are excited to roll this out and help the program anyway they can!
Thank you all who came yesterday for our narrative presentations. The students work hard throughout this unit and it was a great opportunity to celebrate their hard work. The videos will be uploaded to their Google Drive sometime next week so I encourage you to check them out!
- On Friday, March 20, the 5th and 6th graders will be attending the Floating Lab field trip. We are in need of one driver/chaperone for that field trip. We will leave here from campus at 7:55 a.m. and will arrive back around 1:00 p.m. If you are able to be our driver/chaperone for that day, please let me know.
- For the yearbook, there is a page for the sixth graders to show off themselves as babies! Could you please choose a cute baby photo of your child that shows their personalities really well and email them to me by Monday? If you don't have them on the computer, please bring them in with your child and I will scan them for you and make sure you will get them back. I am excited to see them all!!
Here is what we will be doing in academics next week:
