This week we will be completing units in both math and writing. We are scheduled for a cumulative test in math on Wednesday. We will have practice both in the classroom and for homework to prepare for this test. Although we have completed our unit on multiplication and division, we will continue to practice our facts working on memorizing them to automaticity.
In our new math unit, Data Analysis, students will learn how to read, interpret, construct bar graphs, and present data in the form of a table and tally chart. We will also extend this understanding to experiments involving probability. We will learn to record the data from our experiments on tally charts and bar graphs, and use data to make predictions.
This week we are putting the finishing touches on our nonfiction book as we work on publishing them.
There will be the Spaghetti Dinner on Monday night kicking off Kindness Week. We will have two seatings, one at 5:30 and the other at 6:15pm. Bring canned goods for St. Mark's Food Pantry and enjoy dinner with our school and church family. RSVP here for the dinner.
Take Wednesday off from cooking dinner, and head to Burger Lounge! Bring the flyer that went home in your child's Friday folder or mention CCDS, and we will receive 20% of the purchases. This is a fun way to support the school and enjoy an evening out to dinner!
