February 3, 2020
Early this week we will complete our unit in nonfiction writing and begin our new math unit, Data Analysis. Students will learn how to read, interpret, construct bar graphs, and present data in the form of a table and tally chart. We will also extend this understanding to experiments involving probability. We will learn to record the data from our experiments on tally charts and bar graphs, and use data to make predictions.
Looking ahead, we will have a valentine exchange with our classmates on Friday, February 14th. If your child would like to participate, please have him or her bring a valentine for each class member that morning.
We have a new field trip scheduled for Thursday, February 27th to the Gaslamp Quarter as we continue our study of San Diego history. A field trip permission slip will be sent home in this week's Friday folder.
Have a great Superbowl Sunday!
Ms. Anne Raymond
