December 3 Newsletter
I hope you all had a great week! Thank you for coming on Wednesday to the conferences. The conversations went well and I am excited to continue growing as a class together. The students had a busy week and are most definitely excited for Thanksgiving break! I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday! I will be traveling back to Arizona to enjoy Thanksgiving with family and friends.
As a cross-curricular assignment, the students just finished learning about the characteristics of living things in science and the difference between multicellular organisms to unicellular organisms. The students then created a well-written picture book based on the characteristics and shared them with their SK buddies!
- When school resumes, the students will have two projects that will overlap one another- one in Science and one in Social Studies. To best prepare the students for their transition to middle school, I will assist them as best as I can by teaching them time management and how to best work on multiple tasks. On Friday, the class received the project requirements for their Plant/Animal Cell Project and it will be due on Friday, December 13th. Then on Monday, December 9th, they will receive the project requirements for their Social Studies, Ancient Egypt, which will be due on Thursday, December 19th. Please make sure that they time manage their projects and do not wait until the last minute.
Have a great Thanksgiving break!
