CCDS School News for February 10-14
Happy Friday Families!
Student-Led Conferences, snails, valentines for seniors, and the 100th Day of School are just some of the activities from this past week! CCDS is a busy place where our students are having fun as they learn and grow! Our students are also very kind, and Chaplain Charlette reported that CCDS performed 2,215 acts of kindness last week! Thank you for supporting this program!
We would like to welcome Mr Gaulin to campus as our new 4th grade teacher! He started this past week and has enjoyed getting to know the students and our school. Say hi when you see him on campus. We are excited to welcome Mrs K back as our JK aide. We are so fortunate to have our three aides supporting our students and staff. Our aides are adaptable to our needs, and Mrs Orr and Mrs Seiden have switched in SK and 1st to support our students in different ways. Thank you to all of our staff for the engaging activities they lead each and every day!
Next week we will have birthday blessings at Tuesday's Chapel and Eucharist at Thursday's Chapel. All parents and families are welcomed at our services, and I encourage you to join us at the flagpole following Chapel.
Next week we will send home the Intent to Return Survey for next year. We have waiting lists in the lower grades, so this information is very important to us. Information about the revised financial aid program will be included in this survey. We have also started collecting a convenience fee for credit card payments for tuition. This fee was impacting our budget, and we are very mindful of being fiscally responsible with our budget. You may continue to pay with a check in the office. Thank you!
Flyers were sent home about the Lego Club for JK-3rd grade starting at the end of the month and the poster contest for Emerald Keepers. Emerald Keepers encourages sustainable practices for the health of our oceans. I have attached these flyers in case you need another copy.
The Gala is approaching quickly and the committee has been working very hard to ensure an entertaining and profitable evening! The theme is 1950s cocktail, Let's Party Like Madmen! Tickets and sponsorships are now available and can be purchased here. Students will receive a free dress pass for tickets purchased before Feb 28. This is sure to be a fun evening supporting CCDS!
This is the final week of the second trimester and then we have Winter Break. I hope you and your family enjoy some relaxing time together.
