CCDS School News for December 9-13
Hello, CCDS families!
I am so looking forward to the parade tonight and I hope many students will be able to join us! Everyone is encouraged to wear festive holiday clothes, lights, and hats. We will gather in front of the police station at our float around 5:20pm. We estimate that about 25 students should be able to ride the float, and we hope others will walk alongside. This was so fun last year and I know there will be many smiles tonight! Thank you to William van Waay, Scott and Andrea Knapp, Bo Blumenthal, Bill Cody, Debbie Schneider, and Brittani Thiel for all of their help with the construction and decorating of the float! You all are amazing! And we couldn't do this without Dr Electric- Todd Tanghe! What a team!
This Sunday is a special service of Lessons and Carols at 4pm. Our CCDS choir will be singing, and I invite you to this lovely service of readings and songs.
Next week we will be treated by our students in the Christmas Concert on Tuesday, Dec 12 starting at 6pm. We will live stream the event for those far away, and we will record it through this system as well. I will send the live stream link again later next week to you all. I know the students have been hard at work with Ms Parker making this a wonderful evening for us.
Our Room Reps will meet Monday, Dec 9 at 8am in Clares' Cottage, and all are welcome to come and join us! CCDS is fortunate to have such wonderful volunteers that make so many extra events possible. Thank you!
Finally, on Friday we will show a movie in the courtyard! We have chosen Arthur Christmas about Santa's son who saves the day! This movie comes highly recommended and is about 100 minutes long. We will start the movie at 5:30pm and there will be popcorn and hot chocolate! Bring a blanket and come snuggle up for a nice evening with our CCDDS family!
If you are looking for a wonderful family event, I invite you to La Posada next Sun, Dec 15 at 5pm. Dinner will be served in Hinde Hall and then groups will disperse around campus on the journey with the Holy Family in search of shelter at three inns.
