Spiritual Nurture is preparing for another great year of learning about the love of God, and how we can live together as a loving community. This year, we have decided to incorporate a school-wide theme that will guide our study of the virtues and our daily life together: "Love one another." This simple theme comes from the new commandment Jesus gave to his disciples, and each of the year's virtues stems from this commandment.
In addition to the virtues, Spiritual Nurture classes will also focus on learning more about Jesus' love for us. This year we will begin a new curriculum called, "Mine Eyes Have Seen Thy Salvation." This is a one-year curriculum from the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools that focuses on the New Testament. Each week, we will learn more about who Jesus is, as revealed through the perspective of different people that he met throughout his ministry.
I'm excited about this new beginning, and I'm looking forward to another year of growing together as a community. If you have any questions about chapel or spiritual nurture, please do not hesitate to contact me.
