....... CCDS INFORMER
Mrs. Roberts - Headmistress

Mrs. Moody’s memorial service was a comforting time for us
to gather together and remember all that she contributed to
the Coronado and Christ Church Day School communities.
There were other things I learned about Pat Moody over the
years she was at CCDS. For instance, she once sailed a
twenty-five foot sailboat with her husband from San Francisco
to Hawaii. (And got stuck in the doldrums for a week!) She
was a gracious hostess and a very generous person. She left
the legacy of joyful music with so many of us. I will always
remember her leading the students in the beautiful choral
renditions of “Silent Night” with the harmony and two verses layering one on top
of the other. We will each remember Mrs. Moody in our own way. May the happy
thoughts and music linger in our hearts.

There are many questions to deal with after such a tragedy, and we have to get on
with the business of music at CCDS, as Mrs. Moody would have wanted us to do.
So here are the answers to a few anticipated questions. After contacting local
schools and colleges and universities, several highly qualified people applied for
the music teaching position. I have hired Mr. Darren Thorn to fill out the year with
our students and, yes, there will be a Spring Sing.
