....... CCDS INFORMER
Mrs. Roberts - Headmistress

Please note that Day School Sunday, which involves all
CCDS families, will be held on October 10th. Details will
follow in next week's Informer.

Last Thursday, Junior Kindergarten joined us in chapel for
the first time this year.
It was a joy to see the line of little red
shirts coming across the street, and we were very proud of
them for being so well behaved for their first chapel service.
I believe in part this was due to the presentation about Noah’s
ark performed by the fourth graders. In any case, their presence
at our worship service brought a sense of completeness to our school community.

I don’t think I have ever seen so many volunteers turn out to stuff the Golf
Tournament/Dinner Auction invitations.
Thank you all! If you have not received
your beautiful invitation, it should be in the mail and on its way to you. The Golf
Tournament Committee and other volunteers have done their work, now it is time
for us show our appreciation for their efforts by responding quickly! Be sure to check
the website for more details and up-dates.

Thank you for your continued cooperation in the drive through loading zone.
If you are visiting with someone in the loading zone, remember not to hold that
person up. The line needs keep moving forward if the system is to be efficient.

I hope all your uniform back orders are being taken care of by True Grits.
Normally, we start wearing sweaters to chapel the first week of October. However,
if we have unseasonably hot weather, teachers may have the students leave their
sweaters in the classroom. Please remember that all boys above 2nd grade level
are to be wearing belts.

This Friday I look forward to meeting with the 5th grade parents
in Hinde Hall at 8:05.
