....... CCDS INFORMER
Mrs. Roberts - Headmistress

Dear CCDS Families,

Once again, the Golf Tournament and Dinner Auction was
incredible. Words cannot express my appreciation to our
talented, organized and spectacular co-chairs Kathy Justice,
Melissa Miller and Tami Woods. Their leadership and your
support raised $72,000 for the Day School in this difficult
economic climate!
The tables and decorations were beautiful
thank to Caylee Pinsonneault, and having the silent auction
in an outside tent again this year was another great idea.
John Weimann shared his talent and expertise with his graphic
design work on the invitations, tee sponsor signs and in so
many other ways. Thank you John. Valerie Murline assumed the duties of treasure
this year, and did a great job. You parents are awe-inspiring, and I treasured each
and every one of you. Congratulations to everyone, and thank you to all our bidders
and golfers!!! I am so proud of our Day School Community.

There were several other highlights of the evening that deserve to be acknowledged.
The classroom artwork was once again highly sought after. Where does Leslie
Koshland
get all her good ideas? This year’s Golden Ticket item was another winning
idea! . And thank you to Gisele Renly for demonstrating some of the Smartboard’s
capabilities. I know it contributed to the bottom line on Fund-an- Item. We raised
enough money to put the Smartboards into the kindergarten and 2nd grade rooms!

If you were unable to attend the evening and would like to contribute to the bottom
line, it is not too late. Donations honoring the months of hard work that all those
working on the 12th Annual Golf Tournament and Dinner Auction will be gratefully
accepted – no amount is too small or too large.

With Thanksgiving just ahead, don’t we have a lot to be thankful for again this year?
I personally am thankful for the teachers and staff members I work with who not
only do a superb job of teaching, but also care about and nurture our students.
I share my days with loving, caring, supportive parents. The icing on the cake is
spending time with these darling children – not just the little ones who so easily
steal your hearts away, but also the older ones growing into the strong, fine adults
they will become. I am truly blessed to be part of this diverse, loving, and constantly
evolving group – a community in its finest sense, and I hope you feel that way too.
Thank you.

This Friday the 2nd grade parents are invited to the Friday coffee.
Hope to see you there.

Nancy Roberts
Headmistress

Dear Friends and Families of CCDS,

On behalf of the golf and auction committee, I extend
a heartfelt thank you to all who participated in our
annual golf tournament and auction. As you know,
this is the primary fundraiser for Christ Church Day School,
and money raised last Friday goes directly to our operating
budget. I am happy to report we came very close to
reaching our goal, so if you were out-bid on anything and
would still like to donate to the school, please contact Nancy.

I wish to thank all the wonderful volunteers who brought
not only their time and talent to the event, but their good
humor, smart ideas, and sense of staying focused on the
purpose of the work, namely supporting this school.
