....... CCDS INFORMER
Mrs. Roberts - Headmistress

Dear CCDS Families,

The big news needing your attention this week is that it is
Picture Day tomorrow, October 6th. Everyone should bring
their best sweater to wear for the picture and boys should
wear long pants (makes the class picture look much better).
The order/payment envelopes for the pictures went home
last Thursday. So if you did not receive it, I suggest you dig
down deep in those back packs. If that does not work, call
the office and Barbara will try to send you another one
Monday afternoon.

I am going to have to reschedule the 1st grade coffee until October 16th.
I will be out of town this Friday.

As you start thinking about Halloween costumes for your child, please remember
CCDS does not allow weapons of any sort to be part of the costume children wear
to school. (Sorry pirates, you will have to save those plastic swords until Halloween
night.) I also ask that masks not be too gory or too scary. We have little ones and do
not want to ruin their day by frightening them. The whole school can be good
Junior K and Kindergarten buddies by observing the spirit of this rule. There will be
more information about Halloween celebrations next week.

Mrs. Power and our 6th graders are off to Camp Stevens this Wednesday and will
return on Friday. It is one of the student’s favorite CCDS trips. They are getting very
excited and will share in many educational, reflective, and just plain fun activities
during their time away. The teachers, staff and I will look forward to their safe return.
So please join us in keeping the 6th graders and their teacher in our prayers and
wishing them all a wonderful time

Nancy Roberts
Headmistress
